Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber

Billionaire entrepreneur Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber is the founder of MBI International Holdings; he has spent more than three decades building a range of independently operating businesses in the fields of hospitality, construction, urban development, food and oil & gas.

In the early 1980s he formed the Jadawel construction company, most notably creating a ground-breaking collection of mini-cities and luxury villas throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This was closely followed in the mid-1980s by the launch of JJW Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel and golf course enterprise, with over 50 properties, resorts and outlets around the globe.

As part of a plan to create a revolutionary system of commodity reserves in Saudi Arabia, MBI Al Jaber set up the AJWA group in the 1990s, which grew into one of the largest food companies in the Middle East; operating port services in the Kingdom, along with a range of processing plants, substantial distribution networks, and some of the biggest rice, food, oil and vegetable brands in the MENA region.

In addition, Al Jaber runs the Continentoil oil & gas company; as well as having a varied interest in a number of diversified business ventures and start-ups across Europe and the Middle East.

Away from the business world, Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber is the founding patron and chairman of the MBI Al Jaber Foundation; an organisation dedicated to education, good governance, cultural dialogue and democracy in the Middle East. Through this charity he has funded the higher educational studies of hundreds of young students, giving them the opportunity to attend some of the world’s most prestigious universities.
